KOCHI: The BJP has improved its performance in most of the constituencies in Ernakulam. The party candidates could get more votes in comparison to the scores in the 2006 elections.
Its candidate won over 5,400 votes in Perumbavoor, compared to over 3,100 in 2006. In Angamaly, the party got over 4,100 votes.
The party candidate in Aluva has scored over 8,200 votes this time compared to over 7,100 received in the 2006 election.
In Kunnathunad, the party candidate received over 5,800 votes compared to over 3,900 votes it got last time. The party candidate in Paravur got over 3,900 votes compared to over 2,800 received in 2006.
The BJP candidate in Tripunithura got over 4,900 votes compared to over 3,000 received in the earlier election. The Ernakulam constituency too recorded a higher number of votes for the party, with 6,300 votes compared to 4,800-plus votes in 2006. Its score in Piravom increased from over 3,300 in the last elections to more than 4,200 this time.
